Once again, another week full of miracles! We hit some huge milestones. The Lord really has been merciful to us. We had a lesson with a less-active member. We read the third chapter in Nephi, where Nephi and his brothers are commanded to go and get the plates. We talked about the faith he had to have to do that. The Spirit was so strong, and we mentioned how at times we need to have faith to follow difficult as well as the simple commandments. She softened and mentioned, “I really ought to give up coffee.” It was great.
We had another chance to do yard work for Ms. Chima. After we wrapped it up, we roasted hot dogs over a fire and taught the Restoration. She was open to it. We invited her to be baptized if she found out it was true.
We saw Marcie at the store and gave her a Book of Mormon. She seems really interested in it. She’ll be at Family Home Evening tonight!
Half the week, I was on exchanges in Deer Park area. On Thursday, Elder Jepsen had to go to a special training so I spent half a day with Elder Danzie and exchanged with Elder Trussel after that. But anyway…when I got back to Grand Forks, I found out that we had two new people with a date to be baptized! Elder Whitcomb and Jepsen had found them while biking around town. Two random people wanted to be baptized immediately!
In other news we taught Tyrone this week. He started to read the Book of Mormon! Apparently on the exchange they had a fantastic lesson with the family from Great Britain. We introduced an excommunicated member who is coming back to the “Quit Smoking Workshop”. She’s planning on quitting cold turkey starting Thursday.
Sunday was the best day. Amarjit came to church! She already knew two people really well and she told us she’s coming back next week.
President Marugi from the Stake Presidency was there and we had a coordination meeting with him and Brother Hinke. President was impressed with the work we are doing. That was a relief to hear. We’ve been under close watch for a while so it was a pressure release for sure.
I’m so excited! The work is exploding!
I love you.
