The people of Grangeville are incredibly sweet!

How are you! I miss you all terribly!  Grangeville is such a nice place to live. The people here are proving to be incredibly sweet. Our ward is in the right mind-frame for missionary work. We have so much potential lined up! Most recently we took Hannah, a less active mother with a family of non-members through the church on a tour. She really felt the Lord’s spirit confirming that it is His house. She expressed that it’s where she wants to be, but she’s worried that attending will split her family. Pray for her husband Chase. He’s been raised with some mis-perceptions of Mormonism. We met again with Don, Chase’s uncle, who has a sincere desire to feel the Holy Ghost in his life again. He told us after we said a prayer that he felt it and longed for it.  So many individuals that have strayed from the fold are ever closer to returning to the warmth and light. Ryan came to church! We visited him yesterday and answered questions he had from the Gospel Principles class. We had the chance to drive to White Bird last Saturday! Wow, what a neat place! It’s a teeny old west town nestled in a large canyon. We talked to Jody, a man who’s been investigating the church fervently. He told us he’s read 90 pages in the Book of Mormon and that he should have read more! He’s anxious to get more direction in his life, and he sees what he wants in the restored church. The day before we got asked to prepare talks on keeping the Sabbath day holy. Luckily it wasn’t my first rodeo, so I think it went alright. We had an amazing correlation meeting Sunday. With the auxiliary members involved, we could really see miracles. It’s much better to have a team on our side than to be on our own. Yesterday we got a ride with Elder and Sister Winn down to Elk City about an hour away. It’s another speck on the map. We contacted a lady up in the mountains who’s husband had requested a visit. She was incredibly receptive and anxious to discuss more with us in the near future, though it will be difficult to meet before July. So much is going on! Keep us in your prayers. Love you! -Elder Call
