Singing so much — feels like we’re on tour! Adam’s baptism was surreal!

This email probably won’t be too exciting since you’ve probably heard most of this yesterday, but maybe not all of it. The only sad news is we’ve lost contact with Kimani. He’s not really responding to any of our messages. He seems like the kind who explores things on his own, so hope is not lost. A lot of time this week was spent moving out our members! Everyone’s leaving for the summer or graduating. It’s sad to say goodbye! Hopefully we’ll get some new move ins. Summer term classes start today! It’s not as busy on campus, but we still have work to do! Lately we’ve been invited to sing at all sorts of events! It’s been 3 or 4 baptisms, and an institute graduation. Feels like we’re on tour! As I’ve told you, we had an awesome zone conference. President Mullen surprised us with a challenge to send out two missionaries and bring an investigator back in 5 minutes. They didn’t make it! It took them 6! They introduced to everyone Hailey. It seemed to good to be true! It had to have been staged or something! They sat her down to be taught, asked her about her religious background, found out she’d been searching for a way to connect with God, and taught her the precious truth of the restored gospel. Those two sister missionaries were understandably feeling on the spot. I felt really bad for them because how obviously nervous they were. That didn’t stop the Spirit from testifying powerfully through them. Once they got to the first vision there were tears. Hailey wanted to follow Christ in His restored gospel the rest of her life. Everyone there was floored. There are people everywhere who are prepared for the gospel. It doesn’t have to take more than 5 to 6 minutes to find them. All you have to do is open your mouth to find out. That made me want to be better. I’ve increased my faith in my own ability to find more people to be taught. It’s going to be a great four months that I will never forget. Lastly, Adam’s baptism was surreal. It’s never felt better to get dressed in all white. Adam is visibly a changed man. His countenance is bright. He carries himself in a whole new way. He’s not the same person he was before. He bore a powerful testimony of the restored Gospel. The Pullman 1st ward is perfect for him. They’ve welcomed him as a part of the family. Bishop Dailey gave a great talk. President Rigby (the stake president ) even said a few words. Tonight we’ll be teaching Adam about the priesthood! Time for the next step down the path.
It was so great to talk to you yesterday. I just love and miss you guys so much! I appreciate your examples to me of unshakable faith and fruitfulness in the gospel (sounds flowery right?). I really mean it though. It means a lot to me. I am inspired by you! Hope you don’t miss me too much. I’ve got work to do! -Love, Elder Call
